I could just sit here and talk about how the snow obliterated all of my fun plans, which it did. However, I did find other productive things to do in all of the ridiculous amount of free time that I had.
Madden
The first thing that I did today was play Madden for about 4 hours. It was a lot longer than normal, but that’s what happens when you get stuck in a snowstorm. I started a franchise with the Ravens and completed an entire season.
The Ravens went 9-7 and won the AFC North. (Wishful thinking right?) Their season all came crashing to a halt after losing to the Broncos in the playoff. After that was completed, I had to shovel snow.
Shoveling Snow
This is the activity that I dreaded the most. I can’t stand shoveling snow, unless it is for money. I mean, what is a more obvious activity on a snow day than shoveling?
As I walked outside into the snow, I realized that this would be no easy task. The snow literally smacked me in the face. I continued to scoop it up and the snow was half way up my leg. I continued for about 2 hours.
Only words to describe the snow:
Painful.
Awful.
Cold.
I walked back inside after scooping the snow, ate some Oreos, drink hot chocolate, etc.
East-West Shrine Game/Terps Basketball Game
Currently, I’m flipping through games right now, and I’m yawning through the East-West Shrine game. The West is crushing the East, 29-9 in the fourth quarter. Illinois receiver, Geronimo Allison (listed at 6-3, 197 pounds), is a beast. He has two touchdowns and will be an interesting prospect for the NFL Draft.
Maryland is in early foul trouble against Michigan State. Their bigs are having trouble defending and it’s worth noting that Michigan State is wearing these hideous lime green jerseys. They remind me of the slime from the old school Nickelodeon days.
Stay say everyone, and enjoy your days off.
Glad you enjoyed your time off, man. Unfortunately, I work in an essential job, so I got stuck in the gdamn blizzard. At least, I have days off coming up.
