Author look a little different this week? Gabs and I decided to give BDJ and Brandon the week off and relieve them of their duties for this week’s Pass The AUX. Not that they weren’t doing a good job, but our playlists may just be a little better. Check out this week’s AUX cord recommendations from her and myself (and let us know if you want this to be a permanent change because you’re tired of BDJ and Brandon - jk).

Migos - Bad and Bougie (feat. Lil Uzi Vert)
The thing that really drew me to the track was the cover art.I really love ramen noodles, but all jokes aside, this song is in the daily rotation. With Metro on the beat and Migos and Uzi bringing heat on the verses, it`s really hard not to like this song. Thus, its on my rotation for the week.
Falcons - Aquafina (feat. GoldLink & Chaz French)
An underrated and well crafted track. When Apple music first dropped, this song made the very first Apple Music Hip- Hop curators list, ranking it as a song you should peep. Months later, I still feel the same way and agree. I went to a GoldLink concert where he rapped this and after I felt the ground shake beneath my feet, I knew that this song would go far. Even Justice liked it, and he only listens to underground and independent music.
Travis Scott (feat. Lil Uzi Vert) - RaRa
An accidental drop that really is lowkey a banger. I wasn’t riding the travis scott wave till this year, but after a couple of listens, this song really grew on me. It`s a shame that this song along with the others on “ Days Before Birds “ didn’t get released as one separate album.
Kehlani - FWU
I forgot how talented Kehlani as an artist was and still is until this song popped up in my shuffle coming home from work this week. This was featured on her first mixtape Cloud 19 and helped set the foundation for who she is today. It really makes me happy to see the progression that she`s made, starting from this song right here.
New Edition - If It Isn’t Love
I feel like if you don’t have any type of New Edition in your music library, then your taking an L. period. The “ New Jack Swing “ era was beautiful and this song solidifies that for me.

Zheep - Dior
If you haven’t heard the Baltimore native’s most recent project yet, you’re doing yourself a disservice. He’s got some bangers on here, and this one produced by The Beat Brigade is just one of many.
Mir Fontane - Options
First and foremost, congratulations to Mr. Fontane on his recent deal with 300 Entertainment. That’s a huge move for him and the rest of the scene in South Jersey. Just a few minutes into his “Who’s Watching the Kids” project, it’s evident as to why Kevin Liles & Co. dediced to make him their latest signee.

A$AP Mob - Bachelor (feat. A$AP Rocky, Lil Yachty, MadeinTYO & Offset)
The Cozy Tapes surpassed my expectations going in for the A$AP Mob’s latest collab project. It’s hard to pick a favorite off the project, as it could differ from day to day, but at the moment this is one of my favorites.
Joey Bada$$ - Fromdatomb
This one is a oldie but goodie, as “1999” was where Joey Bada$$ began his path to where he is now. Although I don’t think Joey has made anything better than this masterpiece he crafted at 17, that’s no discredit to him as I believe this one here is a classic.
Lucki - Interest
Speaking of impressive debuts, this one may be one you’re a little less familiar with, but you can thank me now for making you aware of it if you weren’t already. Chicago native Lucki sonically put out one of the most impressive debut mixtapes I’ve ever heard, from the way he was able to invent this alternative rap sound while still staying true to the themes in his music he was becoming now for. Producer Plu2o Nash has a lot to do with that as well.
